Quindão
(Grande Quindim)
Quindão is a favorite dessert in Brazil, especially in Salvador de Bahia. They are vibrant yellow in color and have a signature shine that make for an enticing little treat. Their texture is cooling and creamy, perfect for the warm summer months.
Ingredients (12 P)
400g of Sugar
150g of Grated Coconut
10 Egg Yolks
50mL of Water
2 Whole Eggs
1 Tablespoon of Margarine Butter


Mix the sugar and margarine until it is whitish.
Moisturize the coconut with the 50 ml of water and add to the mixture of sugar and margarine.
Pass the two whole eggs through the colander and also the 10 yolks.
Mix everything and put it in the pudding form, greased with margarine and very sugary, because it is the sugar that gives shine to the quindão.
Bake in the preheated oven in a water bath pan for 40 minutes.
The water in the water bath pan should be hot.
Remove from the oven, pass the knife on the edge to release it and after about 20 minutes you can unmold.
